CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL Minutes of: Date of Meeting: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council January 12, 1999 9 a.m. Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of January 5, 1999, were approved as presented. INTRODUCTIONS Mayor Loveridge introduced five government officials from Kang Nam City in Seoul, Korea. OATH OF OFFICE - CONTINUED TO LATER IN DAY The administering of the Oath of Office to Chester Yoshizaki, Development Di-rector, was continued to later in the day. (See page 84-194.) STAFF INTRODUCTIONS - CONTINUED TO LATER IN DAY Development Department staff introductions were continued to later in the day. (See page 84-194.) CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-009-756 (REVISED) - 3630 TYLER The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to conditions the proposal of Burger King Corporation for a revised conditional use permit to expand an existing fast food restaurant with a drive through lane by adding an approximately 830-square-foot indoor playground on an approximately .68 acre parcel at 3630 Tyler Street, situated on the westerly comer of Tyler and Hemet Streets, in Zone C-2. The City Council upheld the Commission's determination that the proposal would not have a significant effect on the environment; concurred in the adoption of the Negative Declaration; and found there is no evidence before the City that the proposed project will have any potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code.
