CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />January 12, 1999 <br />9 a.m. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of January 5, 1999, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge introduced five government officials from Kang Nam City in Seoul, <br />Korea. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE - CONTINUED TO LATER IN DAY <br />The administering of the Oath of Office to Chester Yoshizaki, Development Di-rector, <br />was continued to later in the day. (See page 84-194.) <br /> <br />STAFF INTRODUCTIONS - CONTINUED TO LATER IN DAY <br />Development Department staff introductions were continued to later in the day. (See <br />page 84-194.) <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-009-756 (REVISED) - 3630 TYLER <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to <br />conditions the proposal of Burger King Corporation for a revised conditional use permit <br />to expand an existing fast food restaurant with a drive through lane by adding an <br />approximately 830-square-foot indoor playground on an approximately .68 acre parcel <br />at 3630 Tyler Street, situated on the westerly comer of Tyler and Hemet Streets, in <br />Zone C-2.
