DISCUSSION CALENDAR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES WORKSHOP The Mayor and City Council engaged in a workshop session with David Jones of Sentient Systems, Inc. Police Chief Carroll presented a review of options for improved security in City buildings. The Budget Office presented (1) the results of a survey of cities in California regarding how they handle security; and (2) a security survey conducted by Norfolk, Virginia. The Mayor and City Council discussed the appointment of an ad hoc committee to study the security information presented, obtain additional information, and develop recommendations for improved security, to be presented to the entire City Council. The Mayor and City Council reviewed the progress on last year's goals and objectives, identified achievements, and discussed their vision for the future of the community.
