The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. Mayor Loveridge entered the Council Chambers at this time. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of May 26, 1998, were approved as presented. Motion X Second X All Ayes Mayor Loveridge announced that Councilmember Clifford is in the State of Washington on City business. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for Motion X consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each Second X item. All Ayes CITY MANAGER CONTRACT EXTENSION - INLAND MAINTENANCE COMPANY The City Council authorized the (1) first extension of the janitorial services contract with Inland Maintenance Company for janitorial services for Group III Buildings (Arlington Library, Arlanza Child Day Care Center, Water Quality Control Plant and La Sierra Library) at the new monthly rate of $3,478.71 which includes the addition of the minimum wage increase and the addition of services for the new laboratory building at the Water Quality Control Plant for the period July 1, 1998, through June 30, 1999; and (2) City Manager or his designee to execute the exten-sion agreement documents. CONTRACT EXTENSION - ADVANCED BUILDING MAINTENANCE CO. The City Council authorized the (1) first extension of the janitorial services contract with Advanced Building Maintenance Company for janitorial services for Group I Buildings (City Hall, Fire Department Administration, Central Library, Public Utilities Plaza and Bus Station) at the new monthly rate of $13,043, which includes the addition of the minimum wage increase and the addition of services at the Central Library, Cybrary Center and Poe Building for the period July 1, 1998, through June 30, 1999; and (2) City Manager or his designee to execute the exten-sion agreement documents. MUSEUM FIRE DETECTION EQUIPMENT - FUNDS TRANSFER The City Council approved the transfer of $14,705 from Museum Trust Fund Account 83-332
