S B O S O Date of Meeting: May 26, 1998 ^ p, o N U D N Time of Meeting: 2 p.m. ~ Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall ~ WARDS 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Roll Call: Present X A X X X X X CLOSED SESSIONS The Mayor and Councilmembers recessed to the Council Chamber Board Room for closed sessions pursuant to (1) Government Code ~54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct designated representatives regarding Fire Unit, Police Unit, General Unit and Public Utilities Field Workers Unit; and (2) Govem-ment Code ~54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning The Cities of Anaheim and Riverside, California vs. Deseret Generation & Transmission Cooperative. The Mayor and Councilmembers returned to the Council Chamber. PARKING, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP-MENT AUTHORITIES The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority and the Economic Development Authority. There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were adjourned; and the body reconvened as the City Council. PUBLIC HEARING AT 3 P.M. ZONING CASE RZ-006-978 - 3871 & 3881 EUCALYPTUS/2315-2325 NINTH - CONTINUED 3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside Redevelopment Agency to place approximately .38 acre developed with a single-family residence at 3871 and 3881 Eucalyptus Avenue and 2315-2325 Ninth Street situated at the northwesterly comer of Eucalyptus Avenue and Ninth Street in Zones R- 1-65 and P and remove same from Zones R-2 and P, with the City Council to also consider supplementing the requested zoning with Zones S and X. Following discussion, the Motion X City Council continued the public hearing to 3 p.m. on September 22, 1998, pending Second X completion of the cultural resources survey. All Ayes Mayor Loveridge excused himself during the following discussion and Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presided. DISCUSSION CALENDAR PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 BUDGET The Budget Director presented an updated report on the General Fund, List of Adjustments and Supplemental Budget Requests for the proposed Fiscal Year 1998-99 Budget and answered questions from the Mayor and City Council. Following discussion, the City Council (1) tentatively approved the proposed adjustments to the Budget and Supplemental Budget Requests for the Fire Department (Option B), Library and Museum Departments; and (2) continued until June 9, 1998, consid-eration 83-324
