S <br /> B O S O <br />Date of Meeting: May 26, 1998 ^ p, o N <br /> U D N <br />Time of Meeting: 2 p.m. ~ <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall ~ <br /> WARDS 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present X A X X X X X <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The Mayor and Councilmembers recessed to the Council Chamber Board Room for <br />closed sessions pursuant to (1) Government Code ~54957.6 to review the City <br />Council's position and instruct designated representatives regarding Fire Unit, Police <br />Unit, General Unit and Public Utilities Field Workers Unit; and (2) Govem-ment Code <br />~54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning The Cities <br />of Anaheim and Riverside, California vs. Deseret Generation & Transmission <br />Cooperative. <br /> <br />The Mayor and Councilmembers returned to the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />PARKING, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP-MENT <br />AUTHORITIES <br />The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the Parking Authority, the <br />Industrial Development Authority and the Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were adjourned; and the body <br />reconvened as the City Council. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE RZ-006-978 - 3871 & 3881 EUCALYPTUS/2315-2325 NINTH - <br />CONTINUED <br />3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside <br />Redevelopment Agency to place approximately .38 acre developed with a single-family <br />residence at 3871 and 3881 Eucalyptus Avenue and 2315-2325 Ninth Street situated at <br />the northwesterly comer of Eucalyptus Avenue and Ninth Street in Zones R- 1-65 and P <br />and remove same from Zones R-2 and P, with the City Council to also consider <br />supplementing the requested zoning with Zones S and X. Following discussion, the Motion X <br />City Council continued the public hearing to 3 p.m. on September 22, 1998, pending Second X <br />completion of the cultural resources survey. All Ayes <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge excused himself during the following discussion and Mayor Pro <br />Tempore Pearson presided. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br /> <br />PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 BUDGET <br />The Budget Director presented an updated report on the General Fund, List of <br />Adjustments and Supplemental Budget Requests for the proposed Fiscal Year 1998-99 <br />Budget and answered questions from the Mayor and City Council. Following <br />discussion, the City Council (1) tentatively approved the proposed adjustments to the <br />Budget and Supplemental Budget Requests for the Fire Department (Option B), <br />Library and Museum Departments; and (2) continued until June 9, 1998, consid-eration <br /> <br /> 83-324 <br /> <br /> <br />
