MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of April 7, 1998, were approved as presented with Motion X Councilmember Clifford abstaining as he did not attend the meeting. Second X Ayes X X X X X X Abstain X PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Firefighter Chuck Chostner, Public Safety Officer for the month of April, who was honored by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce at Good Morning Riverside. Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Parliamentarian Charles H. Johnson and Dean Brown, President of Riverside Society of Parliamentarians, Chapter 52 of the American Institute of Parliamentarians, proclaiming the month of April 1998 as Parliamentarian Month. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each Motion X item; with Councilmember Clifford requesting his vote be shown as "No" on the Second X revision of landscape maintenance regulations ordinance adoption. All Ayes CITY MANAGER HOME AGREEMENT AMENDMENT - 1365-1371 MAIN The City Council (1) approved the amendment of the HOME Agreement between the City and the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside to provide for the additional Phase I scope of work and Phase II improvements to Breezewood Apartments identified in the written staff report; and (2) authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the amendment to the standard HOME Agreement with the terms as outlined in the written staff report and such other related documents as are necessary and consistent with this approval. DISASTER RECOVERY - RESOLUTION The City Council adopted a resolution designating City officials that are authorized to execute disaster recovery applications and documents necessary to receive federal and state disaster area storm funds; whereupon, Resolution No. 19257 of the City of Riverside, California, Designating Certain City Officials as Individuals Authorized to Execute Applications and Documents for the Purpose of Obtaining Financial Assistance Under Federal Civil Defense Act of 1950 as Amended (50 U.S.C. App. 2251 Et Seq.); and Repealing Resolution No. 18418, was presented and adopted. 83-279
