The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of March 10, 1998, were approved as presented. Motion X Second X All Ayes PRESENTATIONS Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson called on Gail McPherson, Wastewater Systems Manager, and Regan Bailey, Sr., Industrial Waste Inspector, who presented a Certificate of Merit from the California Water Environment Association to Vince Capata of the Press Enterprise for outstanding achievement in Industrial Wastewater Control. Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presented Certificates of Appreciation and City pins to Police Officers Brian Dailey and Dan Hoxmeier, Public Safety Officers for the month of March, who were honored by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce at Good Morning Riverside. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for Motion X consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each Second X item. All Ayes CITY MANAGER AIRPORT OPEN HOUSE AND AIR SHOW - MOU The City Council authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Riverside Airport Open House, Inc., for use of the Riverside Municipal Airport property for the Annual Riverside Airport Open House and Air Show on March 28, 1998. FORMATION OF RIVERSIDE AUTO CENTER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT - PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED - RESOLUTION The City Council adopted a resolution giving preliminary approval to the Engineer's Report for the formation of the Riverside Auto Center Assessment District and set a public hearing for May 19, 1998, at 2 p.m.; whereupon, Resolution No. 19249 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Preliminarily Approving Engineer's Report for Proposed Riverside Auto Center Assessment District and Setting Date, Time and Place for Public Hearing on Said Engineer's Report, was presented and adopted. 83-255
