Motion X <br /> Second X <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Steve Berry, Executive Board Member of the Riverside Arts <br />Foundation, who announced the April 2nd arrival in Riverside of Artrain, a five-car <br />train filled with modem art on loan from the Smithsonian Institute. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Detective Ron Wright, President of Riverside Police <br />Officers Association, who presented a $1,500 check to DeVonne Armstrong for the <br />Passport to College program at Riverside Community College. <br /> <br />Councilmember Clifford was excused at this time. ~ <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for Motion X <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each Second X <br />item. All Ayes <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-017-978 - 9555 INDIANA - DENIED <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in denying the request <br />of Riad Abdel for a conditional use permit to establish a car stereo sales and installation <br />shop on approximately .43 acre developed with a commercial building at 9555 Indiana <br />Avenue situated on the north side of Indiana Avenue approximately 200 feet westerly <br />of Van Buren Boulevard in Zone C-2. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-028-978 - 591 LA CADENA <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to <br />conditions the request of Santiago Homes, Inc., for a conditional use permit to establish <br />a model home complex for display and sales of manufactured housing on <br />approximately 1.2 acres developed with a residence proposed to be converted to an <br />office at 591 La Cadena Drive, situated on the northwesterly side of La Cadena Drive, <br />southerly of Tolouse Avenue and the Riverside Water Company Upper Canal, in Zone <br />M-1-BP; upheld the Commission's determination that the proposal would not have a <br /> <br /> 83-246 <br /> <br /> <br />
