The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of January 13, 1998, were approved as presented. Motion X Second X All Ayes CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for Motion X consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each Second X item. All Ayes CITY MANAGER FOURTH AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGRMT. - MISSION GROVE PLAZA The City Council (1) approved the continued leasing of space for the Police Depart- ment storefront at 285 East Alessandro Boulevard, Suite B, in the Mission Grove Plaza, as outlined in the written staff report; and (2) authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the Fourth Amendment to Lease Agreement between Mission Grove Plaza, L.P., and the City of Riverside. CITIZEN SURVEY FOR ICMA PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT PROJECT - REFERRED TO COMMITTEE The City Council approved staff's recommendation to refer the Citizen Survey for the International City/County Management Association Comparative Performance Measurement Consortium Project to the City Council Governmental Affairs Com- mittee. CITY COUNCIL/MAYOR'S OFFICE STAFFING - RESOLUTION The City Council (1) authorized the reclassification of two Administrative Clerk positions to Council Relations Assistant and one Stenographer Clerk II to Secretary effective January 23, 1998; and (2) adopted a resolution, effective January 23, 1998, amending the Salary Resolution to: (a) add the following salary range: C17C with 5 steps, $2467 - $2591 - $2720 - $2857 - $2999; (b) add the new classification, Council Relations Assistant, Class Number 179875, range C17C with 5 steps, range $2467 - $2999; and (c) delete the classification Administrative Assistant to the Council, Class Number 179870; whereupon, Resolution No. 19217 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Amending Resolution No. 19009, as Amended, by Amending Section 3 Establishing a Salary Plan for the Confidential Unit and by Amending Section 4 Establishing the Classification Plan in Order to Establish a New Classification Entitled "Council Relations Assistant" and to Delete the Classification "Administrative Assistant to the Council"; All to be Effective as of January 23, 1998, was presented and adopted. 83-188
