1 RESOLUTION NO. 19050 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 18899 3 ESTABLISHING FEES AND CHARGES FOR CERTAIN CITY SERVICES BY AMENDING SECTION 20 ENTITLED "LEISURE 4 AND CULTURAL-RECREATION" BY REPEALING SUBSECTION 5215 RELATING TO ADULT CITY FITNESS CLASSES, BY 5 AMENDING SUBSECTION 5221 RELATING TO YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS TO INCREASE THE FEES TO BE CHARGED 6 THEREFOR, BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 5225 RELATING TO CITY-WIDE SPECIAL EVENTS TO REVISE THE FEES IMPOSED 7 THEREFOR, BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 5228 TO RELATING TO CHALLENGED CITIZEN ACTIVITIES TO CHANGE THE NAME 8 THEREOF AND TO INCREASE CERTAIN OF THE FEES THEREFOR, TO AMEND SUBSECTION 5231 RELATING TO 9 RECREATIONAL SWIMMING TO REVISE THE AGE CATEGORIES, AND BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 5233 RELATING TO POOL 10 RENTALS TO INCREASE THE RATES THEREFOR; ALL TO BE EFFECTIVE AS OF APRIL 1, 1997. 11 12 WHEREAS cost of the services provided by the City of Riverside 13 is compiled using a "business-type" cost system originally 14 developed for the City of Riverside by Management Services 15 Institute ("MSI") ; and 16 WHEREAS each year, the City of Riverside, through its Finance 17 Department, conducts an analysis of its services, the costs 18 reasonably borne for providing those services, the beneficiaries of 19 those services, and the revenues produced by those paying fees and 20 charges for special services; and 21 WHEREAS the City Council has adopted Resolution No. 18899 22 establishing the Fees and Charges Resolution as of July 1, 1996; 23 and 24 WHEREAS the fees and charges for recreational programs of the 25 Park and Recreation Department of the City of Riverside are set 26 forth in Section 20 of Resolution No. 18899; and 27 WHEREAS the Finance Department of the City of Riverside is in Attorney's Office Street CA 92522 782-5567 F: ~WPDATA~RES~97042101.
