RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> M3Board Memorandum <br /> P U B L I C U T I L I T I E S <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: December 3, 2010 <br /> ITEM NO: 5 <br /> SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND STRUCTURE INSTALLATION FOR ORANGECREST <br /> CAPACITOR BANKS - WORK ORDER NO. 100008-02 <br /> ISSUE: <br /> Board of Public Utilities approval is requested for Work Order No. 100008-02. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of $96,475 for the <br /> Orangecrest Capacitor Bank Project to install underground structures along Dauchy Avenue and Wood <br /> Road. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> This capacitor bank project for Orangecrest will require the placement of various underground utilities <br /> and the installation of pad-mounted equipment to improve power quality for summer 2011. The <br /> proposed project involves the placement of 200 feet of underground cable, the installation of two pad- <br /> mounted capacitor banks, and the installation of one pad-mounted junction cabinet. <br /> The electrical engineering was performed by Riverside Public Utilities (RPU).
