RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Fads, Board Memorandum <br /> PUBLIC Iii [ L 1 ( i _ <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: December 3, 2010 <br /> ITEM NO: 4 <br /> SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC LINE EXTENSION - VINTAGE AT SNOWBERRY <br /> APA.,R,TMENTS—WORK ORDER NO. 1102639 <br /> ISSUE: <br /> Board of Public Utilities approval is requested for Work Order No. 1102639, <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> That the Board of Pubi c Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of $253,000 to install an <br /> underground electric dis:ribution line extension to serve new apartment buildings located southeasterly of <br /> Colorado Avenue and Texas Avenue. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The project consists c: extending electric distribution facilities to serve the Vintage at Snowberry <br /> Apartments totaling 224 units located at 8402 through 8452 Colorado Avenue. The project includes <br /> electric distribution system improvements that would facilitate reliable distribution service for the <br /> development. Engineen ng was performed by Riverside Public Utilities' (RPU) staff and construction will <br /> be performed by either IRPU staff or by contractors using the RPU's Contractors Panel. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> The total project cost is estimated at $253,000. Funds are budgeted and available for this project in the <br /> Distribution Line Extensions Account No. 6130000-470601. Electric Rules 10 and 11 provide that the <br /> applicant pay the full cost of facilities to serve new non-commercial and non-industrial load. Accordingly, <br /> all such costs will be fully reimbursed by the applicant. <br /> Prepared by: Stephen H.
