2010 <br /> Splash Into Cash - Boftled Water Label Art Contest <br /> • Held in conjunction with the Splash Into Cash program, Riverside Public Utilities <br /> sponsors a high school art contest where students design the label artwork for <br /> the bottled water given out by the City for a whole year. To date, the Utility has <br /> expended more than $250,000 in program costs, and given out over 317,000 <br /> bottI es of water to the schools. <br /> • Contest is open to all public and private high school students in the city of <br /> Riverside. Typically, one entry is chosen in Riverside Citrus Heritage and <br /> General Art categories <br /> • Each winner receives $250 cash, copies of their winning label, and a case of <br /> water featuring the label. Art teacher(s) receive a $50 gift certifi cate from an art <br /> supply store. <br /> The winners for 2010 are: <br /> Both of our winners are from La Sierra High School this year. La Sierra High School <br /> has had at least one winner 8 of the 12 years the Bottled Water Label Contest has <br /> been running. <br /> In the Riverside Citrus Heritage Category, the winner is Antonio Valadez. Antonio is <br /> now a Senior. <br /> The winner in the General Art Category is Ana Fuentes who is now a Junior. <br /> Teacher: <br /> Our teachers are a very important part of the contest! This year's contest winners <br /> were both students of one Teacher. We'd like to reward him as well, for doing such a <br /> great job at promoting the contest to the students. <br /> Our winning teacher, from from La Sierra High School is: <br /> Mr. Angel Gomez <br /> Thanks again for all of your efforts. <br />
