RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Board Memorandum <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: February 19, 2010 <br /> ITEM NO: 3 <br /> SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND CABLE REPLACEMENT ON TRENTON AND HALIFAX — WORK <br /> ORDER NO. 1097448 <br /> ISSUE: <br /> Staff is requesting Board of Public Utilities approval for Work Order No. 1017448. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of$59,000 for Work Order No. <br /> 1017448 to replace failed underground cable on Trenton Drive to Halifax Drive. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> As part of the on-going Cable Replacement Project in the Capital Improvement Program, one span of high <br /> voltage 12 kV cable on Trenton Drive to Halifax Drive needs to be replaced due to a recent cable failure. <br /> Engineering has been completed by Riverside Public Utilities staff. Construction will be performed by <br /> contract forces. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> The total project cost is estimated at$59,000. Funds are budgeted and available for this project in the Cable <br /> Replacement Account No. 5130000-470635. <br /> Prepared by: Stephen H.
