Western's Board of Directors is hosting a Water
Agency Roundtable for our retail agency partners to discuss the impacts to our water rates and the related
potential retail consumer impacts, as well as the other pertinent water issues outlined above.
The Roundtable will be held Thursday, ,Jan. 28 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Diamond Club Restaurant located
at 500 Diamond Drive, Lake Elsinore 92530.
It's our hope that you or your designated representative, Board Members and the appropriate staff from your
Finance, Engineering, Customer Relations and/or Public Affairs departments will join us for this vital
discussion.
During this meeting our senior management team will present the latest information from Metropolitan
concerning the current state of affairs including the statewide water crisis, MWD budget drivers and the
schedule for potential rate increases, the 2010 Water Bond and Western's water use efficiency programs.
During these difficult economic times facing our communities and water utility operations, we believe that it's
essential to discuss these critical issues and to receive your input, concerns and ideas. We will present a
PowerPoint presentation on water rates discussing some of the key factors affecting MWD's water rate
increases.
