W A T E R E f7 E R$Y I I F E <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> PU9RIC UTrL1TIE S Board Memorandum <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: November 4, 2011 <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> ITEM NO: 10 <br /> SUBJECT: MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT—September 2011 <br /> POWER USAGE <br /> Total load requirements (including losses) during September 2x11 were 228,422 MWh and 19,427 MWh <br /> of purchases from the CA€SD, of which 208,995 MWh were provided by our resources and purchases. <br /> The retail customer load for September 2011 (215,767 MWh) was 5.8% higher than the retail customer <br /> load in September 2010 (203,892 MWh), The actual peak system demand was 581 MW, compared to <br /> actual peak system demand of 576 MW last year. Energy returns were 7,920 MWh and 4,735 MWh <br /> were attributed to losses (3.51%). Green power supplied approximately 16.93% of our retail energy <br /> requirements. <br /> The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: <br /> UNIT OPERATION <br /> €PP: IPP units 1 and 2 operated at 90.37% capacity factor for the month. <br /> PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 91.26% capacity factor for the month. <br /> SONGS: SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 96.25% and 93.97% capacity factor respectively for the <br /> month. <br /> Hoover: 99.58% of RVSD's monthly entitlement was met. <br /> Clearwater: C€earwater's availability was 97,85% for the month. <br /> RERC: RERC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 99.47% for the month. <br /> Springs: Springs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 53.58% for the month. <br /> Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 79.25% capacity factor for the month. <br /> TRANSMISSION. <br /> Pacrfic DC: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW (ETR 1213112012) <br /> and the North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW. <br /> Attached are the charts of daily peaks and the graphical comparison of demand and energy supplied <br /> from each resource for the months of September 2010 and September 2011. <br /> AA <br /> Attachments <br /> cc: Scott C.
