W h t E R E n f R G Y L E f f RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES P U B L I C U T I L I T I E S Board Memorandum BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: November 4, 2011 ITEM NO: 3 SUBJECT: CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO PURCHASE ORDER NO. 116165 CONDUIT AND STRUCTURES INSTALLATION FOR SWITCH IN V-2725 AT CAMPUS DRIVE AND CANYON PARK DRIVE -WORK ORDER NO. 1117665 ISSUE: Board of Public Utilities approval is requested for Change Order No. 2 to Purchase Order No. 116165, in the amount of$1,113.53 for additional paving due to field conditions. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Public Utilities approve Change Order No. 2 to Purchase Order No. 116165 in the amount of$1,113.53. BACKGROUND: Work Order No. 1117665 for conduit and structures installation for switch in V-2725 at Campus Drive and Canyon Park Drive was approved by the Board of Public Utilities on June 3, 2011 for an estimated capital expenditure of $250,000. The conduit and substructure portion of the project was issued to the Contractors' Panel for Energy Delivery Work on May 17, 2011. Bids were opened on June 16, 2011 and Asplundh Construction Corp., of VV'illow Gave, Pennsylvania, was the lowest responsive bidder in the amount of$70,844. Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $7,084.40 was issued on September 26, 2011 for additional potholing, extra concrete and paving work. Change Order No. 2, in the amount of $1,113.53 is requested due to additional paving required due to field conditions.
