Approve Work Order No. 1105066 in the amount of$82,000; and <br /> 2. Approve a Professional Services Agreement with Innovative Engineering Group, Inc., of Monterey <br /> Park California, in the amount of$81,870 for design services for the renovation or replacement of <br /> the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system at the Utilities' Operation Center. <br /> BAGKGROUND: <br /> The existing HVAC system at the Utilities' Operations Center is antiquated and inefficient. The system is <br /> nearly 20 years old and maintenance costs continue to increase each year as the replacement parts are <br /> expensive and difficult to locate. The City's General Services Department HVAC crew has evaluated the <br /> system and determined that is in need of replacement. <br /> On December 14, 2010, seven (7) proposals were received. Innovative Engineering Group, Inc. (IEG)was <br /> selected for the design services. IEG will provide architectural and engineering design services to renovate <br /> or replace the existing ice storage and air handler system with a new energy efficient HVAC system. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> The total estimated cost is $81,870. Sufficient funds are available in the Building Occupancy Account No. <br /> 6000010-462050. <br /> Prepared by: Stephen H.
