MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT—August 7011 <br /> POWER USAGE <br /> Total load requirements (including losses) during August 2011 were 230,431 MWh and 16,212 MWh of <br /> sales to the CAISO, of which 246,643 MWh were provided by our resources and purchases. The retail <br /> customer load for August 2011 (218,187 MWh) was 9.1% higher than the retail customer load in August <br /> 2010 (200,053 MWh). The actual peak system demand was 553 MW, compared to actual peak system <br /> demand of 580 MW last year. Energy returns were 7,170 MWh and 5,044 MWh were attributed to losses <br /> (3.53%). Green power supplied approximately 15.69% of our retail energy requirements. <br /> The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: <br /> UNIT OPERATION <br /> IPP: I P P units 1 and 2 operated at 93.39% capacity factor for the month. <br /> PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 86.85% capacity factor for the month. <br /> SONGS: SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 99.93% and 91.80% capacity factor respectively for the <br /> month. <br /> Hoover: 105% of RVSD's monthly entitlement was met. <br /> Clearwater: C lea rwater's availability was 100% for the month. <br /> RERC: RERC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 94.90%for the month. <br /> Springs: Springs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 79.96% for the month. <br /> Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 98.63% capacity factor for the month. <br /> TRANSMISSION: <br /> Pacfc ❑C: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW (ETR 1013112012) <br /> and the North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW. <br /> Attached are the charts of daily peaks and the graphical comparison of demand and energy supplied <br /> from each resource for the months of August 2010 and August 2011. <br /> AA <br /> Attachments <br /> cc: Scott C.
