W T E k E N E R 6 Y t l k <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES Board Memorandum <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: September 2, 2011 <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> ITEM NO: 14 <br /> SUBJECT: MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT—July 2011 <br /> POWER USAGE <br /> Total load requirements (including losses) during July 2011 were 203,532 MWh and 38,387 MWh of <br /> sales to the CAISO, of which 241,919 MWh were provided by our resources and purchases. The retail <br /> customer load for July 2011 (189,735 MWh) was 3.4% higher than the retail customer load in July 2010 <br /> (183,579 MWh). The actual peak system demand was 519 MW, compared to actual peak system <br /> demand of 538 MW last year, Energy returns were 8,600 MWh and 4,797 MWh were attributed to losses <br /> (3.44%). Green power supplied approximately 17.81% of our retail energy requirements. <br /> The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: <br /> UNIT OPERATION <br /> ]PP: IPP units 1 and 2 operated at 86.76% capacity factor for the month. <br /> PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 100% capacity factor for the month. <br /> SONGS: SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 99.89% and 99.93% capacity factor respectively for the <br /> month. <br /> Hoover: 120% of RVSD's entitlement was met for the month. <br /> Clearwater: Clearwater's availability was 95.90% for the month. <br /> RERC: RERC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 96.88%for the month. <br /> Springs: Springs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 98.79%for the month. <br /> Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 97.18% capacity factor for the month. <br /> TRANSMISSION: <br /> Pacific DC: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW (ETR 1013112012) <br /> and the North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW. <br /> Attached are the charts of daily peaks and the graphical comparison of demand and energy supplied <br /> from each resource for the months of July 2010 and July 2011. <br /> AA <br /> Attachments <br /> cc: Bradley J.
