W A T E R E N E R G Y L I r <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> �� &9&PUBLIC UTILITIES Board Memorandum <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: August 3, 2012 <br /> GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT <br /> ITEM NO: 14 <br /> SUBJECT: MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT—June 2012 <br /> POWER USAGE <br /> Total load requirements (including losses) during June 2012 were 192,630 MWh and 8,449 MWh of purchases from <br /> the CAISO, of which 184,181 MWh were provided by our resources and other purchases. The retail customer load <br /> for June 2012 (188,375 MWh) was 22.5% higher than the retail customer load in June 2011 (153,804 MWh). The <br /> actual peak system demand was 416 MW, compared to actual peak system demand of 432 MW last year. Energy <br /> returns were 0 MWh and 3,845 MWh were attributed to losses (4.57%). Green power supplied approximately <br /> 16.03% of our retail energy requirements. <br /> The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: <br /> UNIT OPERATION <br /> IPP: IPP units 1 and 2 operated at 53.81%capacity factor for the month. <br /> PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 100%capacity factor for the month. <br /> SONGS: Both SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 0%capacity factor for the month. <br /> Hoover: 1001,,0 of RVSD's entitlement was met as compared to WAPA's Master Schedule (dated 6/16111). <br /> Clearwater: Clearwater's availability was 85.69%for the month. <br /> RERC: RERC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 98.35%for the month. <br /> Springs: Springs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 69.70%for the month. <br /> Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 89.35%capacity factor for the month. <br /> TRANSMISSION: <br /> Pacific DC: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW (ETR 12/31/2012) and the <br /> North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW. <br /> Attached are the charts of daily peaks and the graphical comparison of demand and energy supplied from each <br /> resource for the months of June 2011 and June 2012. <br /> AA <br /> Attachments <br /> cc: Scott C.
