W n 7 E R E N E R G Y 1 1 <br /> El ld& RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Board Memorandum. <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: July 20, 2012 <br /> ITEM NO: 7 <br /> SUBJECT: AMENDMENT OF BOARD STANDING RULES REGARDING DUTIES OF BOARD <br /> SECRETARY <br /> ISSUE: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities consider amending the Standing Rules of the Board of Public Utilities of <br /> the City of Riverside to address the duties of the Board Secretary. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities approve an amendment to the Standing Rules of the Board of Public <br /> Utilities of the City of Riverside to address the duties of the Board Secretary. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Standing Rules provide that the Public Utilities General Manager is designated to act as Board <br /> Secretary only for the recording of minutes of the RPU Board (Standing Rules 6fl. On June 1, 2012, <br /> the Board amended its Standing Rules regarding the conduct of its meetings, and delegated certain <br /> additional duties of the Board Secretary to assist in the conduct of those meetings. However, the Board <br /> did not amend Section 6.F to expand the duties of the Board Secretary. <br /> Rule 65 should be amended to provide that the Public Utilities General Manager is designated to act as <br /> secretary for the recording of minutes of the RPU Board and for any other duties as delegated by the <br /> RPU Board. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> There is no fiscal impact <br /> Prepared by: Susan Cash, Riverside Public Utilities Board Member <br /> Approved by: David H.
