w!: E R - N E f, G .. - <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> PUBLIC U T 1 L 1 T I E 5 Board Memorandum <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: January 6, 2012 <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> ITEM NO: 12 <br /> SUBJECT: MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT— November 2011 <br /> POWER USAGE <br /> Total load requirements (including losses) during November 2011 were 177,650 MWh and 1,228 MWh of <br /> sales to the CAISO, of which 178,878 MWh were provided by our resources and purchases. The retail <br /> customer load for November 2011 (152,128 MWh) was 0.4% lower than the retail customer load in <br /> November 2010 (151,588 MWh). The actual peak system demand was 290 MW, compared to actual <br /> peak system demand of 368 MW last year. Energy returns were 21,435 MWh and 4,043 MWh were <br /> attributed to losses (3.31%). Green power supplied approximately 21.37% of our retail energy <br /> requirements. <br /> The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: <br /> UNIT OPERATION <br /> IPP: IPP units 1 and 2 operated at 84.13% capacity factor for the month. <br /> PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 69.06% capacity factor for the month. <br /> SONGS: Both SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 100% capacity factor for the month. <br /> Hoover: 90.02% of RVSD's monthly entitlement was met. <br /> Clearwater: Clearwater's availability was 99.86% for the month. <br /> RERC: RERC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 97.59%for the month. <br /> Springs: Spri ngs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 99.51% far the month. <br /> Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 97.48% capacity factor for the month. <br /> TRANSMISSION: <br /> Pacific DC: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW (ETR 1012312012) <br /> and the North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW. <br /> Attached are the charts of daily peaks and the graphical comparison of demand and energy supplied <br /> from each resource for the months of November 2010 and November 2011. <br /> AA <br /> Attachments <br /> cc: Scott C.
