w!: E R - N E f, G .. - RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES PUBLIC U T 1 L 1 T I E 5 Board Memorandum BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: January 6, 2012 DIRECTOR'S REPORT ITEM NO: 12 SUBJECT: MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT— November 2011 POWER USAGE Total load requirements (including losses) during November 2011 were 177,650 MWh and 1,228 MWh of sales to the CAISO, of which 178,878 MWh were provided by our resources and purchases. The retail customer load for November 2011 (152,128 MWh) was 0.4% lower than the retail customer load in November 2010 (151,588 MWh). The actual peak system demand was 290 MW, compared to actual peak system demand of 368 MW last year. Energy returns were 21,435 MWh and 4,043 MWh were attributed to losses (3.31%). Green power supplied approximately 21.37% of our retail energy requirements. The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: UNIT OPERATION IPP: IPP units 1 and 2 operated at 84.13% capacity factor for the month. PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 69.06% capacity factor for the month. SONGS: Both SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 100% capacity factor for the month. Hoover: 90.02% of RVSD's monthly entitlement was met. Clearwater: Clearwater's availability was 99.86% for the month. RERC: RERC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 97.59%for the month. Springs: Spri ngs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 99.51% far the month. Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 97.48% capacity factor for the month. TRANSMISSION: Pacific DC: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW (ETR 1012312012) and the North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW.
