No formal <br />action was required or taken. <br />BUSINESS RESOURCE PROVIDERS <br />Following discussion, the City Council received and ordered filed the update <br />and oral presentation of the Office of Economic Development's Business <br />Resource Providers. No formal action was required or taken. <br />FISCAL YEAR 2015-16 TO 2017-18 SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN - <br />REFERRED TO COMMITEE <br />Following discussion, the City Council directed staff to (1) return to the City <br />Council Community Services and Youth Committee with funding alternatives <br />to fund the Special Transportation Program in lieu of a fare increase and to <br />include the Mayor's Commission on Aging and Commission on Disabilities in <br />Motion <br />X <br />that meeting; and (2) bring recommendations back to the City Council within <br />Second <br />X <br />90 days. <br />All Ayes <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Bailey called upon Chief Innovation Officer Lea Deesing who gave an <br />update on the Innovation and Technology Department and presented a <br />special recognition to Fred Speer as the Innovation and Technology <br />Department's 2015 Honoree and Trusted Partner. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Theresa Newham spoke regarding hunger and food donations. Les Twedell <br />spoke regarding the preferential parking zone on University Avenue. Errol <br />Koschewitz spoke regarding public comments, grant money, City finances, <br />agenda items, and labor closed sessions. Mike Endeman spoke regarding <br />labor closed sessions. Britt Holstrom spoke regarding ethics, seniors, and <br />transportation. Guy Hocker spoke regarding fares for senior transportation, <br />entrepreneurship, and homelessness. <br />101-70 <br />
