W A T E R E N E R G Y . <br /> ;�3� <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES Board Memorandum <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: April 5, 2013 <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> ITEM NO: 16 <br /> SUBJECT: MONTHLY POWER SUPPLY REPORT—February 2013 <br /> POWER USAGE <br /> Total load requirements (including losses) during February 2013 were 176,464 MWh and 41,567 MWh of <br /> purchases from the CAISO, of which 134,836 MWh were provided by our resources and other <br /> purchases. The retail customer load for February 2013 (154,654 MWh) was 2.2% higher than the retail <br /> customer load in February 2012 {151,290 MWh}. The actual peak system demand was 285 MW, <br /> compared to actual peak system demand of 286 MW last year. Energy returns were 19,080 MWh and <br /> 2,730 MWh were attributed to losses (4.24%). Green power supplied approximately 25.66% of our retail <br /> energy requirements. <br /> The City's generation resources were available during the month as follows: <br /> UNIT OPERATION <br /> IPP: IPP units 1 and 2 operated at 55.66% capacity factor for the month. <br /> PVNGS: Palo Verde units 1, 2 and 3 operated at 100% capacity factor for the month. <br /> SONGS: Both SONGS units 2 and 3 operated at 0% capacity factor for the month. <br /> Hoover: 94.30% of RVSD's entitlement was met as compared to WAPA's Master Schedule (dated <br /> 5114112). <br /> Clearwater: Clearwater's availability was 96.62% for the month. <br /> RERC: RE RC Station (Units 1,2,3 and 4) availability was 61.72%for the month. <br /> Springs: Springs units 1, 2, 3 and 4 availability was 99.33%for the month. <br /> Salton Sea: The Salton Sea units operated at 87.62% capacity factor for the month. <br /> TRANSMISSION: <br /> Pacific DC: The South to North transmission line is currently derated to 975 MW(ETR 0413012013) <br /> and the North to South transmission line is operational at 2,990 MW. <br /> Attached are the charts of daily peaks and the graphical comparison of demand and energy supplied <br /> from each resource for the months of February 2012 and February 2013. <br /> AA <br /> Attachments <br /> cc: Scott C.
