W A T E R E H E R G Y t 1 F F <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Board Memorandurn <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> BOARD OF PUSUC UTILMES DATE: April 5, 2013 <br /> ITEM NO: 3 <br /> SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AT 15967 WOOD ROAD-WORK <br /> ORDER NO. 1308227 <br /> ISSUE: <br /> The issue for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of Work Order No. 1308227. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expendkure of $120,717 for Work Order <br /> No. 1308227 to install a pad-mounted switch, pad-mounted junction cabinet and pad-mounted <br /> transformer to serve a new commercial customer located at 15967 Wood Road. <br /> 13ACKGROUND: <br /> The project consists of extending the existing electrical distribution facilities to serve a new customer and <br /> future customers located near Wood Road and Van Buren Boulevard (Attachment 1). The project <br /> includes the installation of several hundred feet of conduit, three pad-mounted structures and electrical <br /> distribution facilities to increase system reliability. The project has been designed and will be constructed <br /> with consideration given to the surrounding aesthetics. <br /> Engineering was performed by Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) staff and electric work will be performed <br /> by RPU field forces. Civil construction will be performed by the developer at the developer's expense, <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> The capital expenditure for Work Order No. 1308227 is estimated to be $120,717. Sufficient funds are <br /> available in the Electrical Capital Account No. 6130000-470601. Consistent with Electric Rules 10 and <br /> 11, a portion of the expenditure will be reimbursed by the developer less system betterment of$112,317. <br /> Prepared by: Stephen H.
