The Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) Engineering Division
considered undergrounding the overhead lines. However, the project addresses a small section
contiguous to an existing overhead line and it is not cost effective to underground it at this time.
RPU staff completed the project engineering with consideration given to the surrounding aesthetics,
while ensuring that such consideration did not impact the cost of construction.
Project Breakdown
Engineering Performed By: RPU Engineering Staff
Civil Construction Performed By: RPU Contractor(Energy Delivery Contractors
Panel
Electrical Work Performed By: RPU Field Forces
Anticipated Start Date: December 9, 2013
Anticipated Duration: 4 weeks
Coordination Required With: RPU Contract Administration
Reimbursements: None
