r RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Board Memorandum <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: September 20, 2013 <br /> ITEM NO: 4 <br /> SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION ALONG COUNTY FARM ROAD <br /> BETWEEN HARRISON STREET AND REYNOLDS ROAD FOR THE NEW 51 UNIT <br /> CEDAR GLEN APARTMENT COMPLEX-WORK ORDER NO. 1318366 <br /> ISSUE: <br /> The issue for the Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of the capital expenditure of $54,000 <br /> for Work Order No. 1318366 for the installation of a pad mounted junction cabinet, and three pad <br /> mounted transformers at 9886 County Farm Road. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of $54,000 for Work Order <br /> No. 1318366 to install a pad mounted junction cabinet, and three pad mounted transformers to serve a <br /> new 51 unit apartment complex located at 9886 County Farm Road. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The installation of a pad mounted junction cabinet, and three pad mounted transformers will extend <br /> existing electrical distribution facilities to serve a new 51 unit apartment complex located at 9886 County <br /> Farm Road. (Attachment 1) The project includes the installation of approximately 1,600 trench feet of <br /> conduit, five underground structures and electrical distribution facilities to increase system reliability. <br /> Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) staff completed the project engineering with consideration given to the <br /> aesthetics of the surrounding area. The project schedule is as follows: <br /> Project Schedule <br /> Engineering Performed By: RPU engineering staff <br /> Civil Construction Performed By: Developer at developer's expense <br /> Electrical Work Performed By: RPU field forces <br /> Anticipated Start Date: October 14, 2013 <br /> Anticipated Duration: 2 weeks <br /> Coordination Required With: Developer <br /> Reimbursements: 100% reimbursable by developer <br />
