W A T E R E N E R G Y i I E <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> 4 <br /> Board Memorandum <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: June 21, 2013 <br /> ITEM NO: 5 <br /> SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF TWO NEW UTILITY BED TRUCKS <br /> ISSUE: <br /> The item for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval to award the purchase of two Ford F350 <br /> utility bed trucks. <br /> RECOMMENDATION:. <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities authorize the expenditure of $82,884.26 and award a purchase order to <br /> Raceway Ford, of Riverside, California, for two Ford F350 Extended Cab, Dual Rear Wheel, Utility Bed <br /> Trucks. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Two additional Electric Division field crews were added to the Fiscal Year 2011/12 budget. Now that the <br /> staff is in place, the accompanying vehicles and equipment must be purchased. The Finance <br /> Department Purchasing Division posted Bid No. 7157 for the purchase of two Ford F350 Extended Cab, <br /> Dual Rear Wheel, Utility Bed Trucks on April 25, 2013. On May 14, 2013, two bids were received. The <br /> specified vehicles are equipped with lower emission E85 flex fueled /gasoline powered engines, meeting <br /> SCAQMD Rule 1191 and 1196 requirements. The bids were as follows: <br /> Company Name City and State Bid <br /> Raceway Ford Riverside, CA $82,884,26 <br /> Fritts Ford Riverside, CA $83,174.48 <br /> Raceway Ford was the lowest responsive bidder at $82,884.26, including sales tax and fees, with no <br /> exceptions. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> The total cost to purchase the two utility vehicles is $82,884.26. Sufficient funds are available in the <br /> Electric Field Automotive Equipment Fund Account No. 6105000-462100. <br /> Prepared by: Stephen H.
