CHECK PRESENTATION TO JOHN W. NORTH HIGH SCHOOL SOLAR CUP FROM <br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> General Manager Wright awarded a check for $3,,500 from Riverside Public Utilities to <br /> John W North High School for boat supplies for the Solar Cup competition,event to take <br /> place on May 16-18, 2008 at Lake Skinner. The team from John W North High School is <br /> comprised mainly of freshmen and sophomore science students who will compete with 42 <br /> other high schools from Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura <br /> Counties. Tony Perez, first year team advisor, and Dale Kinnear, school principal, <br /> accepted the check for John W North High School. <br /> B, PRESENTATION FROM RIVERSIDE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THE BENEFITS <br /> FROM COLLABORATIVE CONSERVATION EFFORTS <br /> Ken, Mueller, Director of Riverside Unified' School District (RUSD) Maintenance and <br /> Operations, spoke on behalf of the RUED on the benefits from the collaborative water <br /> conservation efforts with Riverside Public Utilities. <br /> C. REBATE CHECK PRESENTATION FOR WATER CONSERVATION FROM WESTERN <br /> MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT TO RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Tom Evans,Vice-President of Western Municipal Water District(WMWD)Board presented <br /> a rebate check for $14,090 to Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) on behalf of Western and <br /> Metropolitan for RPU's highly successful water conservation efforts. Recently RPU <br /> provided rebates to its customers for 115 high efficiency clothes washers and 24 ultra low <br /> flush toilets. <br />
