RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />Board Memorandum <br />PL B LIC iJTILITIF$ <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: SEPTEMBER 4, 2015 <br />ITEM NO: 6 <br />File ID — 15 -2808 — C <br />SUBJECT: INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL FACILITIES NEAR DAN KIPPER <br />DRIVE AND SYCAMORE CANYON BOULEVARD FOR THE CT SYCAMORE CENTER <br />DEVELOPMENT — WORK ORDER NO. 1516861 FOR $114,000 <br />ISSUE: <br />The issue for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of the capital expenditure of $114,000 for <br />Work Order No. 1516861 for the installation of underground electrical facilities for the CT Sycamore <br />Center Development. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of $114,000 for Work Order <br />No. 1516861 for the installation of underground electrical facilities for the CT Sycamore Center <br />Development. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The project will extend existing electrical distribution facilities to serve the five industrial buildings <br />composing the CT Sycamore Center Development. The project includes the installation of approximately <br />1,745 trench feet of conduit, one pad- mounted switch, three pad- mounted transformers, three pad - <br />mounted junction cabinets and related electrical facilities. <br />Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) engineering staff performed the design to eliminate any negative visual <br />impacts to the project and surrounding area, with sensitivity to the existing neighborhood and within City <br />Planning guidelines for the designated area of the project. <br />The project breakdown is proposed as follows: <br />Project Breakdown <br />Engineering Performed By: <br />RPU engineering staff <br />Civil Construction Performed By: <br />Developer at developer's expense <br />Electrical Work Performed By: <br />RPU field forces <br />Anticipated Start Date: <br />September 25, 2015 <br />Anticipated Duration: <br />One Year <br />Coordination Required With: <br />Developer <br />Reimbursements: <br />100% reimbursable by developer <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The capital expenditure for Work Order No. 1516861 is estimated to be $114,000. Sufficient funds are <br />available in Public Utilities' Electrical Capital Account No. 6130000 - 470601. Consistent with Electric <br />Rules 10 and 11, the expenditure will be fully reimbursed by the developer. <br />
