1 RESOLUTION NO. 19234 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CALIFORNIA, WAIVING THE PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SELECTION <br /> 3 PROVISIONS OF ADMINISTRATIVE MANUAL NUMBER 11-4 AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> 4 WITH BUSINESS RECORDS CORPORATION TO ACT AS SYSTEMS <br /> INTEGRATOR TO ACQUIRE, CONFIGURE, INSTALL, SUPPORT AND MANAGE <br /> 5 A DOCUMENT IMAGING SYSTEM FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. <br /> 6 <br /> WHEREAS, Business Records Corporation ("BRC") is managing the City's Information <br /> 7 <br /> Systems Department pursuant to the Information Technology Agreement dated December 12, 1996 <br /> 8 <br /> ("Agreement") between the City and BRC; and <br /> 9 <br /> WHEREAS, the document filing and storage system currently used by the City <br /> 10 <br /> Attorney's Office inadequately meets the expanding requirements upon the City Attorney to provide <br /> 11 <br /> efficient, cost productive and accurate legal advice and service to the officers and employees of the <br /> 12 <br /> City of Riverside; and <br /> 13 <br /> WHEREAS, BRC has a successful record of procuring, implementing and maintaining a <br /> 14 <br /> document imaging system for the City Clerk's Office, City of Riverside; and <br /> 15 <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interests of the City to engage BRC's services to <br /> 16 <br /> act as Systems Integrator for the City Attorney's Office under a fixed-price supplemental services <br /> 17 <br /> agreement to procure, manage, install, configure, implement and support the document imaging <br /> 18 <br /> system, including the hardware and software; <br /> 19 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br /> 20 <br /> California, that the professional consultant selection provisions of Administrative Manual Number <br /> 21 <br /> 11-4 are hereby waived and the Contract Administrator of the Agreement, or his designee, is <br /> 22 <br /> authorized to execute the supplemental services agreement (#BRC0010), which is incorporated <br /> 23 <br /> herein by reference, with BRC. <br /> 24 <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Contract Administrator shall administer the <br /> 25 <br /> supplemental services agreement on behalf of the City and shall oversee BRC's procurement of the <br /> 26 <br /> infrastructure components consistent with the provisions of the City's Purchasing Resolution Rules <br /> 27 <br /> and Regulations, Resolution No. 17788. <br /> <br />Attorney's Office <br />Street <br />CA 92522 <br />782-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
