CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br /> Date: June 5, 200! <br />Item No.: 2 <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br />(Eastside, Arlanza/La Sierra, and Citywide Areas Only) <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />determined that the following applicant(s) is/are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. This/these applicant(s) is/are as follows: <br /> <br />13-032 Benjamin &Irene Diaz 2754 Plansant Street ES S/O $3,020 <br /> <br /> CW HA/G $1,980 <br /> ES D/L $6,500 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to address all termite deficiencies, install two concrete wheelchair ramps, roof, GFI's, range <br />hood, and bring hot water heater up to code. Owner has lived at property for 49 years. Yard is landscaped and <br />well maintained. Lead-Based Paint was detected at the property and will be encapsulated by a Certified <br />Contractor. There is no history of previous grants or loans. <br /> <br />13-018 Anis D. Simpson 4722 Grove Avenue ES S/G $5,000 <br /> <br /> ES D/L $2,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to address termite deficiencies, install new tab, solid core entry doors, security screen door, <br />spark arrestor, repair hole at wall in master bedroom, install smoke detectors, bring water heater and electrical up <br />to code, and install new toilet and vanity at master bathroom. Lead-Based Paint was detected on the exterior <br />doorframe, window frame, caves and fascia. The Contractor will address these items using safe work practices. <br />Yard is landscaped and well maintained. There is no history of previous grants or loans. <br /> <br />13-051 Valeflu Margincan 3934 Tomlinson Avenue CW D/L $20,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used W address termite deficiencies, install insulation, install garage doors, finish electrical, install <br />drywall, smoke detectors, interior painting, install new flooring, and bring hot water heater up to code. Lead- <br />Based Paint was detected on the windowsill, window frame, and doofframe. The Contractor will address these <br />items using safe work practices. Owner has lived at property for two years. Yard is landscaped and maintained. <br />There is no history of previous grants or loans. <br /> <br /> <br />
