The item for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of a capital expenditure in the amount of <br />$64..100 for Work Order No. 1415402 for the installation of new street light standards on northbound Van <br />Buren Boulevard from Jurupa Avenue to the Santa Ana River. <br />That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of $64,100 for Work Order <br />No. 1415402 'to install six new street light standards for the Van Buren Boulevard Street Improvements <br />Northbound from Jurupa Avenue to the Santa Ana River Bridge Project, as part of the Public Works <br />Renaissance Street Improvement Project. <br />On May 1, 2009 the Board of Public Utilities approved Work Order No. 070021-10 in the amount of <br />$520,000 for the installation of 77 street lights standards along Van Buren Boulevard from Jackson <br />Street to the Santa Ana River. Six street light standards were removed from the scope of the project due <br />to conflicting schedules with the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) work on the <br />Santa Ana River Bridge. <br />Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) engineering staff performed the design to eliminate any negative visual <br />impacts to the project and surrounding area, with sensitivity of the existing urban aesthetics and within <br />City Planning guidelines for the designated area of the project.
