Board Memorandum <br />The item for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of a Professional Services Agreement with <br />Carollo Engineers in a not-to-exceed amount of $231 J000 for the development of electrical standard plans <br />2-nd specifications for wells and booster stations. <br />That the Board of Public Utilities approve a Professional Services Agreement with Carollo Engineers Inc., of <br />Fountain Valley, California I i n a not-to-exceed a mou nt of $23 1, 000 fo r the d evelo p ment of electrical sta nd a rd <br />plans and speccations for wells and booster stations. <br />Consultant Selection <br />Staff utilized the Water Consultant's Panel and issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to 14 engineering firms <br />with experience in the design of water facilities. Due to various factors, including current workloads and lack <br />of interest, proposals were received from only two engineering firms, as summarized below in the following <br />table: <br />COMPANY LOCATION <br />Carollo Engineers Fountain Valley, C <br />Tetra Tech San Dimas, CA I <br />The Selection Committee (Committee), consisting of key staff members of the Water Division, reviewed bot <br />proposals received on the basis of the criterion described in the RFP., The Committee interviewed bot <br />��ngineering consultants, and Carollo Engineers was selected to perform the work. Staff has negotiated <br />contract with Carollo Engineers for the project in a not-to-exceed amount of $231 11000. 1 <br />
