Call to Order: <br /> Meeting was called to order at 4:03 p.m. by Chair Ian Barraza; a quorum was present. <br /> <br />2. Review of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the March 19, 2014 meeting were reviewed and approved as printed. <br /> <br />3. Public Comments: <br /> None. <br /> <br />4. Reports/Follow-Up: <br /> Tre Members reviewed the attached summary for the month ending March 31, 2014 <br />reflecting MDCC funds as follows: BBVA = $15,189.64 and City accounts = $9,267.61. Total funds <br />available as of March 31 equal $24,457.25. <br />sponsorship ($2,000.00) for Deaf Awareness Week and the $200.00 <br />2012. Bummy ent of their <br />Board needs to cut the check. <br /> <br /> ADA Accommodation at Special Events Ad Hoc Committee Report Dawn Rechenberg reported the Ad Hoc <br />Committee is moving forward working on a letter that will be sen <br />special events, noting it should be ready for presentation to the MDCC at the . <br />will probably recommend that ADA <br />requirements be included on the special events application form. <br /> <br /> Deaf Awareness Week (DAW) <br /> 1. 2012 Statement of Income/Expenditures Review Report postponed until the Molina sponsorship check <br />is received from CODIE. <br /> <br /> 2. 2014 DAW Barraza noted the need to begin planning the 2014 DAW and asked <br />on the events. He reminded the biggest events are the Sunday Kick-Off Picnic and the Friday night event. <br />Rechenberg reported Tom Lewensky said he is interested in working on DAW and Ann Marie Stout said she <br />will work with the Plaza staff on the Friday evening event and s <br />ASL Storytelling presentation. Phil Carmona and Richard Glasgow will work on Friday evening, anDanny <br />Blair, Barraza, and Glasgow will work on the Picnic. A suggestion was made that one person oversee the <br />
