Review of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the August 20, 2014 meeting were approved as presented. <br /> <br />3. Public Comments: <br /> None. <br /> <br />4. Reports/Follow-Up: <br /> Treasurer’s Report – Members reviewed the attached summary for the month ending August 31, <br />2014 reflecting MDCC funds as follows: BBVA = $16,174.64* and City accounts = $8,920.86. <br />Total funds available as of August 31, 2014 equal $25,095.50*. <br /> *Estimated balance. <br /> <br /> ADA Accommodation at Special Events Ad Hoc Committee Report – Postponed. <br /> <br /> Deaf Awareness Week (DAW) – <br />1. 2012 Statement of Income/Expenditures Review – Postponed. <br /> <br /> <br />2. 2014 DAW Planning – Updates were provided as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Screaming Signs & Graphics designed the events flyer at no charge, gave a $100 discount <br /> <br />on printing charges, and provided one free ad board. <br /> <br />Lisa Kay Price and Barraza recorded an ad for GTV. <br /> <br /> <br />There has been extensive advertising on Facebook. <br /> <br /> <br />CBU is donating tables and chairs for the picnic vendor booths – Barraza will pick them up <br /> <br />Saturday, Laurie Waggoner volunteered the use of the CSDR truck. <br />
