The minutes from January 13, 2015 were approved with the following correction: Board Officer <br />position election to take place in March 2015 (replace elect nominating committee). <br />Motion: C. Wilson <br />Second: S. Acharya <br />Ayes: All <br /> <br />CHAIRMAN’S REPORT <br />2. Nomination- RMM Board Officer Positions <br />A nominating committee will not be formed. Appointments will be made based on the nominations <br />given during the January RMM Board meeting with Chuck Wilson as Chair and Elio Palacios as Vice <br />Chair. <br /> <br />3. Review/ Update of Metropolitan Museum Board Standing Rules <br />The following two (2) changes were proposed to update the 2006 version of the Standing Rules <br />document: <br /> <br />-Page 3, section 4 (absences) insert “or, is absent whether excused or unexcused from more than one- <br />third of the regularly scheduled meetings in any calendar year” (update per 5/6/14 City Council <br />action for City Charter) <br /> <br />-Page 4, section 7B insert the term ‘Board” after Metropolitan Museum <br /> <br />-Add verbiage as needed that if any conflicts, defer to the City Charter for final action <br />Motion: C. Minton <br />Ayes: All <br />The final draft will appear to the Metropolitan Museum Board for approval. <br /> <br />REPORT ON MUSEUM OPERATIONS <br />Education Curator, Teresa Woodard Belding gave an update on the activities at the Ameal Moore Nature <br />nd <br />Center. The 2 Saturdays event has been gaining in attendance since its start in November 2014. Park <br />visitors have been participating in Citizen Science and bird watching for The Cornell Lab of <br />strd <br />Ornithology and its Nest Watch program. Nature Center staff have been leading hikes on the 1 and 3 <br />Saturdays at 10am for visitors. <br /> <br />th <br />On March 5 the Museum will debut its traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian, I Want the Wide <br />th <br />American Earth. On May 12 the Museum will give a Heritage House update to City Council. The Main <br />
