Bud Minton Surekha (Sue) Acharya Dorothy Fadakar Holly Redfern CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 4:01p.m at Heritage House (8193 Magnolia Avenue). APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes from December 9, 2014 were approved without corrections. Motion: E. Palacios Second: B. Minton Ayes: All CHAIRMAN’S REPORT Per the Museum Board Standing Bylaws, election of Board Officers occurs annually in March. All members may nominate themselves to serve as Chair or Vice Chair. Due to the new status of many members of the Museum Board, D. Barnhart recommended C. Wilson as Chair and E. Palacios as Vice Chair. Nominations will be taken at the February meeting for the vote in March. No other nominations were received and the Board agreed not to form a Nominating Committee. REPORT ON MUSEUM OPERATIONS The elevator renovation is underway. The two Associate Curators of Collections have been selected and will be starting soon. The Nature Lab will have a mini-renno during the elevator remodel since the second floor is closed to the public. The Museum will be hosting students through Cal State Fullerton for a leadership workshop organized by UCR’s Dr. Yolanda Moses. Sarah’s TEDx talk about the Harada House is now available online for viewing. Harada House water mitigation has been completed and is successfully diverting rain run-off to the street and away from the basement. Huffington Roofs will be re-roofing the Robinson House. C. Wilson suggested a list of projects and their status for Harada House. Steve Badgett is the new interim Assistant City Manager over the Museum department. Arts and Cultural Affairs Division (ACAD) update 1. The written report was included with the Board packet. M. Haupt reported that RFPs have been submitted for the Opera Program. Meghan Hunt has been named as the Project Coordinator for the nd Arts & Culture division. February 22 is the Red carpet Event for the Riverside Fox Theater Foundation. The Gone with the Wind event was a success at the Fox. Karen Foley is the new General Manager for the Fox Theater. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS No action items at this time. COMMITTEE REPORTS RMM Exhibitions Committee- 2.no meeting was held. RMM Collections Committee- 3. no meeting was held.
