Villegas <br />Ayes: All <br /> <br />CHAIRMAN’S REPORT <br />st <br />On March 31 the City Boards and Commission reception was held, honoring 3 former Museum Board <br />members- Rudy Ruibal, Jim Perry and Erick Pritchard. <br /> <br />The Museum Board made their annual presentation to City Council on Museum accomplishments. Staff <br />created a PowerPoint with photos to accompany the presentation. A reception was also held for Harada/ <br />Robinson House supporters who also attended the Council meeting that evening. <br /> <br />D. Barnhart served as the Museum Board representative on the panel for the Code of Ethics complaint <br />for a Councilman. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2.Update of Strategic Plan <br />The mission and vision statements have been solidified and the core values are being finalized. The final <br />draft will be presented to the Museum Board for adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Harada House Update <br />th <br />A reception was held for Harada/ Robinson donors on February 25. The Museum continues to receive <br />donations for the Robinson House. S. Mundy has submitted a budget request for the addition of <br />fundraising staff for the new fiscal year. A small committee to help draft and execute the development <br />plan for Harada/ Robinson will be formed. The “Sumi’s House” play will return this summer for two <br />showings at The Box. <br /> <br />REPORT ON MUSEUM OPERATIONS <br />A structural analysis of the Heritage House gazebo was completed and showed the majority of the <br />structure has been damaged due to termites. Due to safety concerns, the gazebo has been demolished, <br />leaving the cement foundation. The coral tree at the Heritage House site has also been removed for <br />safety concerns. The City Manager’s office has allocated an analyst to the Museum for 15 hours a week. <br /> <br />
