She will follow-up, as she has only heard from Pia. Weir’s research determined bus passes are already heavily subsidized and dog licensing fees are very low, so she will drop those from consideration. Kristen Reid from Dales Senior Center said there will be a Seniors Fitness Expo on August 21, as well as a breakfast and a lunch hosted by senior centers. Weir will email an updated proposal to the Commissioners. B. Senior Corps – Postponed. V. Discussion Items A Senior Resource Guide – Kristen Reid provided copies of the new Senior Guide published by the Parks & Recreation Department. Tarmo said Bill and Grace Abboud have begun publishing the first issue of their senior guide, which will be “Reader’s Digest” sized, with color-coded pages. She noted they will not be able to use the City logo as the City is not a sponsor of their publication. B.MCOA Website – Hice was asked to determine the process for updating the MCOA portion of the Mayor’s webpage. C.Village to Village – Pardee indicated the program as designed really does not fit in Riverside; however, she will write up a summary of the Commission discussions and each Commissioner can then meet with his/her Councilmember. VI. Action Items A.Election of Officers – Commissioners Brown-Tartaglino and Pruett met and agreed to nominate the current officers to remain in their roles through the current term, which ends February 28, 2015. Action Taken: By motion duly made, seconded, and carried unanimously, Leonard Doup will continue as Chair, with Sandra Tarmo and Bud Fish continuing as Vice-Chairs. B.MCOA Bylaws Revisions Presentation – Please see attachment. Based on review of the proposed Bylaw revisions, the following action was taken: Action Taken: By motion duly made, seconded, and carried unanimously, the MCOA Bylaws were approved as proposed. In addition, Article III, Section 3(b) will be revised to reflect the newly approved Board and Commission Attendance Policy as passed at the May 6, 2014 City Council Meeting. The revised Bylaws will be forwarded to the City Attorney for final legal review and approval.
