To accommodate the installation of the storm
drain, existing underground electric facilities at the intersection of Harrison Street and Victoria Avenue
will be relocated. The duct bank contains electric conduits and energized cables that currently serve
electric customers in the area.
Prior to the electrical ductbank relocation, Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) will install a temporary power
pole and wires on Victoria Avenue to serve electric customers in the area. The work includes the
installation of approximately 160 trench feet of conduit, one temporary power pole and related electric
facilities. The temporary pole and wires will be installed in Underground Utility District No. 1 and will be
removed when the work is completed.
Riverside Public Utilities {RPU} engineering staff performed the design to eliminate any negative visual
impacts to the project and surrounding area, with sensitivity of the existing neighborhood and within City
Planning guidelines for the designated area of the project.
The project breakdown is proposed as follows:
Project Breakdown
Engineering Performed By: RPU engineering staff
Civil Construction Performed By: Energy Delivery Contractor's Panel (for temp power), PW
contractor at RCFCWCD expense
Electrical Work Performed By: RPU field forces
Anticipated Start Date: February 9, 2015
Anticipated Duration: Four months
Coordination Required With: PW Inspector, RPU Field Superintendent
Reimbursements: None
