W A T E R E H E R 6 L ] i - RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES AW& Board Memorandum PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: MARCH 5, 2015 ITEM NO: 5 SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION NEAR FOURTEENTH STREET AND BROCKTON AVENUE FOR THE RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL EXPANSION PROJECT-WORK ORDER NO. 1503841 ISSUE: The issue for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of a capital expenditure of $115,000 for Work Order No. 1503841 for the installation of electrical distribution facilities for the Riverside Community Hospital Expansion Project. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of $115,000 for Work Order No. 1503841 for the installation of electrical distribution facilities for the Riverside Community Hospital Expansion Project. BACKGROUND: The project will extend existing electrical distribution facilities to serve the Riverside Community Hospital Tower One Expansion Project. The project includes the installation of approximately 910 trench feet of conduit, one pad-mounted switch, two pad-mounted transformers, one pad-mounted junction cabinet, three underground structures and related electrical facilities. Riverside Public Utilities {RPU} engineering staff performed the design to eliminate any negative visual impacts to the project and surrounding area, with sensitivity to the existing neighborhood and within City Planning guidelines for the designated area of the project. The project breakdown is proposed as follows: Project Breakdown Engineering Performed By: RPU engineering staff Civil Construction Performed By: Developer at developer's expense Electrical Work Performed By: RPU field forces Anticipated Start Date: March 15, 2015 Anticipated Duration: One Year Coordination Re uired With: Developer Reimbursements: 100% reimbursable by developer
