FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AT VARIOUS <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES PROPERTIES <br /> ISSUE: <br /> The item for Board of Public Utilities consideration is approval of a Third Amendment to Master <br /> Agreement with Mariposa Landscapes, Inc., for landscape maintenance services at various Public <br /> Utilities properties, Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 1242. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> That the Board of Public Utilities: <br /> 1. Approve the Third Amendment to Master Agreement for General Landscape Maintenance at <br /> Various Public Utilities Properties, RFP No. 1242, with Mariposa Landscapes, Inc. of Irwindale, <br /> California from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 in the amount of$241,071.96; and <br /> 2. Authorize the expenditure of$241,071.96 for this contract. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Riverside Public Utilities Department (RPU) has 85 properties located in San Bernardino and <br /> Riverside Counties which require various degrees of general landscape maintenance and irrigation <br /> repairs on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. This work is performed by a private contractor, <br /> Mariposa Landscapes Inc., under a current contract that will expire on June 30, 2015. <br /> The Third Amendment to the Master Agreement extends the terms of the Agreement to June 30, 2016. <br /> Mariposa Landscape Inc. has agreed to this Amendment which includes a CPI increase of 0.6%, as per <br /> the Master Agreement. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> The cost to fund the Third Amendment through June, 20, 2016, is $241,071.96. Sufficient funds are <br /> included in the proposed Fiscal Year 2015-16 budget from the Water Division Account No. 6200000- <br /> 421000 ($192,857.57) and the Electric Division Account No. 6100000-421000 ($48,214.39). <br /> Prepared by: Kevin S.
