1 RESOLUTION NO. 19226 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SALARY RESOLUTION <br />3 NO. 19009 AS AMENDED TO AMEND SUBSECTION (e) OF <br /> SECTION 5 REGARDING THE ESTABLISHING OF SALARY <br />4 DIFFERENTIALS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A TEMPORARY <br /> UPGRADE FOR SOLID WASTE COLLECTORS I AND II WHEN <br />5 TEMPORARILY ASSIGNED TO THE DUTIES OF SOLID WASTE <br /> COLLECTOR III IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MEMORANDUM OF <br />6 UNDERSTANDING ENTERED INTO WITH THE SERVICE <br /> EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 2028 WHICH <br />7 AMENDMENT IS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1,1998. <br />8 WHEREAS, representatives of the City of Riverside and the <br />9 Service Employees International Union, Local 2028, Riverside <br />10 Chapter Local 1991 ("SEIU") have met and conferred and have <br />11 signed a Memorandum of Understanding effective through May 11, <br />12 2001; and <br />13 WHEREAS, in said Memorandum of Understanding, it was <br />14 agreed that a temporary upgrade for permanent employees <br />15 classified as Solid Waste Collectors I and II shall be paid upon <br />16 the completion of training and said upgrade will be an additional <br />17 five percent (5%) for a total of ten percent (10%) beginning with <br />18 the thirteenth (13th) shift and thereafter of temporary <br />19 assignment to the duties of Solid Waste Collector III. <br />20 WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Salary Resolution <br />21 to reflect the above-noted provisions of the Memorandum of <br />22 Understanding for the Refuse Unit; <br />23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />24 City of Riverside, California, as follows: <br />25 Section 1: Subsection (e) of Section 5: SALARY <br />26 DIFFERENTIALS of Resolution No. 19009 setting forth the <br />27 Temporary Upgrades for those employees in the General and Refuse <br />A~orney's Office <br />~re~ <br />CA ~5~ <br />782-5567 <br /> F:~WPDATA~RES\98014301.CC <br /> <br /> <br />
