1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br /> 26 <br /> <br /> 27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19850 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 19391 ESTABLISHING THE FRINGE <br />BENEFITS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES BY AMENDING SECTION 17 TO PROVIDE FOR <br />AN INCREASE IN CITY-PAID HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS AND TO <br />PROVIDE A HEALTH INSURANCE WAIVER STIPEND; BY AMENDING SECTION 20 <br />TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN CITY-PAID DENTAL INSURANCE <br />CONTRIBUTIONS; BY AMENDING SECTION 18 TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE <br />IN TERM LIFE INSURANCE COVERAGE; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 15 <br />RELATED TO JURY DUTY; ALL IN ACCORDANCE WiTH THE MEMORANDUM <br />OF UNDERSTANDING ENTERED INTO WITH THE GENERAL UNIT (SEIU). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of the City of Riverside have met and conferred <br /> <br />with the Service Employees' International Union (SEIU) and have signed a Memorandum of <br />Understanding regarding wages, hours, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of <br />employment. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />California, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Section 17, of Resolution No. 19391, as amended from time to time, is <br />hereby further amended by increasing the City-paid contribution for General Unit employees <br />to $242.50 per payroll period effective March 2, 2001, and to $252.50 per payroll period <br />effective December 7, 2001, and to $262.50 per payroll period effective the first payroll period <br />in December, 2002~ and is further amended by increasing the City-paid contribution for <br />Confidential and Management employees to $255.50 per payroll period effective March 2, 200 I, <br />and to $265.50 per payroll period effective December 7, 2001, and to $275.50 per payroll period <br />effective December 6, 2002. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Section 17, of Resolution No. 19391, as amended from time to time, is <br />hereby further amended to add new paragraphs (b), (c), and (d) as follows: <br /> <br /> (b) Effective November 2001, employees who can show proof of insurance with a health <br /> care prorider elsewhere and waive their fights to City provided health insurance, shall receive <br /> a stipend of $1800 the last payroll period in November 2002; <br /> <br /> (c) Effective November 2002, employees who can show proof of insurance with a health <br /> <br />CityAttorney's Office <br />3900Maln Street <br />Riverside.
