<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
<br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 19390, AS AMENDED, TO AMEND THE
<br />SALARY AND COMPENSATION PLANS (TABLE 1 AND TABLE 2) AS FOLLOWS: TO
<br />PROVIDE FOR INCREASES IN THE COMPENSATION FOR THOSE EMPLOYEES IN
<br />THE GENERAL UNIT (SEIU) BY FIVE PERCENT (5%) AS OF JANUARY 5, 2001, BY
<br />TWO PERCENT (2%) AS OF JANUARY 4, 2002, BY TWO PERCENT (2%) AS OF JULY
<br />5, 2002, BY TWO PERCENT (2%) AS OF JANUARY 3, 2003, AND BY TWO PERCENT
<br />(2%) AS OF JULY 4, 2003; TO AMEND THE SALARY AND COMPENSATION PLANS
<br />(TABLE 1 AND TABLE 2) TO ADD THE NEW RANGES G18B, G19E AND G19F AND
<br />TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE OF THREE AND ONE-HALF PERCENT (3.5%) TO
<br />THE FOLLOWING CLASSIFICATIONS: ACCOUNT CLERK li - G18B, CUSTOMER
<br />SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE II - G19E, AND PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER - G27E,
<br />AND PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER TRAINEE - GI9F, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 5,
<br />2001; TO FURTHER AMEND THE SALARY AND COMPENSATION PLANS TO ADD
<br />THE NEW RANGE G22F AND TO CHANGE THE COMPENSATION FOR UTILITIES
<br />METER READER TO RANGE G22F EFFECTIVE THE FIRST PAY PERIOD
<br />FOLLOWING RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT, MARCH 2, 2001 ;TO AMEND
<br />THE SALARY DIFFERENTIALS, SECTION 5, SUBSECTION (I), PARAGRAPH (1) AND
<br />(2) TO INCREASE SHIFT PAY EFFECTIVE THE FIRST PAY PERIOD FOLLOWING
<br />RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT, MARCH 2, 2001, AND AGA1N ON JANUARY
<br />4, 2002; AND TO AMEND THE SALARY DIFFERENTIALS, SECTION 5, SUBSECTION
<br />(C), PARAGRAPH (6), TO INCREASE BILINGUAL PAY EFFECTIVE THE FIRST PAY
<br />PERIOD FOLLOWING RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT, MARCH 2, 2001; ALL
<br />IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ENTERED
<br />INTO WITH SAID ASSOCIATION (SEIU).
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, representatives of the City of Riverside and Service Employees' International
<br />
<br />Union (SEJU) have met on a number of occasions and have conferred in good faith exchanging
<br />
<br />proposals concerning wages, hours, fringe benefits, and other terms and conditions of
<br />
<br />employment represented by the Union; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the representatives of the City and Union have reached an understanding as to
<br />
<br />certain recommendations to be made to the City Council for the City of Riverside and have
<br />
<br />agreed that the parties hereto will jointly urge said Council to adopt one or more resolutions
<br />
<br />which will provide for the changes in wages, hours, fringe benefits, and other terms and
<br />
<br />conditions of employment contained in these joint recommendations;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Riverside,
<br />
<br />California, as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1: Table 1, Section 3, of Resolution No. 19390, as amended from time to time,
<br />is hereby further amended by revising for the Salary Plan for those employees in the General
<br />
<br />City Attorney's Office
