1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19847 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALiFORNIA, DESIGNATING MUNICIPAL PARKING FACILITIES AND ADDING <br />LOT 40 THERETO, SPECIFYING WHICH MUNICIPAL FACILITIES ARE UNDER <br />THE OPERATION AND CONTROL OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE; ESTABLISHING CERTAIN REGULATIONS RELATING TO <br />THOSE FACiLITIES THAT ARE NOT UNDER THE OPERATION AND CONTROL OF <br />THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE; AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19385. <br /> <br />6 <br />7 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 17035, and subsequent amendments to Resolution 17035, the <br />8 City Council of the City of Riverside has designated Municipal Parking Facilities, established the hours <br />9 of operation, fixed the rates of charges therefore, and provided for other limitations; and <br />10 WHEREAS, by written agreement dated June 21, 1994, the City of Riverside delegated to the <br />11 Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside the responsibility to manage and operate certain <br />12 downtown Municipal Parking Facilities, including the right to set hours of operation and fees and <br />I3 charges; and <br />14 WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 6235, on July 25, 1995, the City Council of the City amended <br />15 Sections 10.60.010 and 10.60.030 of the Riverside Municipal Code relating to Municipal Parking <br />16 Facilities to provide that if the City contracted for the management and operation of any Municipal <br />17 Parking Facilities, such contractor could designate the hours of operation and establish the fees or <br />18 charges for parking in or on such facility; and <br />19 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 19385, on November 17, 1998, the City Council clarified which <br />20 facilities have been designated as Municipal Parking Facilities, which facilities are managed and <br />21 operated by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside, and any regulations pertaining to those <br />22 Municipal Parking Facilities which are not managed and operated by the Redevelopment Agency of <br /> <br />23 the City of Riverside; and <br />24 WHEREAS, Lot 40, located at the Multi-Modal Transportation Center located on Fairmount <br />25 Boulevard shall be added as a designated Municipal Parking Facility and is to be managed and operated <br />26 by the Redevelopment Agency; and <br />27 WHEREAS it is appropriate to repeal Resolution No. 19385 in order to add Lot 40 thereto and <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 826-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
