FOR SYSTEMS <br />INTEGRATION SERVICES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Department is using the "Sierra Permits" permit tracking <br />software system that does not now meet the current needs of the department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ACS Enterprise Solutions, Inc., (formerly known as Business Records <br />Corporation ("BRC") and hereinafter "ACS") is managing the City of Riverside's Information <br />Systems Department pursuant to the Information Technology Agreement dated December 12, <br />1996, CAgreement") between the City and BRC; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Department and ACS have conducted extensive research and <br />found that the Sierra Permit Plus software system has many capabilities beyond those contained in <br />the current software version; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Sierra Permit Plus software system has the potential of allowing certain <br />permits to be pulled "on-line" which could reduce the waiting time of the public seeking permits; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Sierra Permit Plus softw-are system has the ability to enhance <br />connectivity to the Geographic Information System (GIS); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by entering into a Supplemental Services Agreement with ACS to expand <br />the scope of services provided by ACS, ACS will provide Systems integration and Prqiect <br />management services, computer hardware and related technical services not now provided by ACS, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City now desires to enter into the Supplemental Services Agreement <br /> with ACS. <br /> <br />// <br /> <br />City Atton~ey's Office <br />3900 Mai.
