RESOLUTION NO. 19842 <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> 3 CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 19390, AS AMENDED, TO AMEND THE <br /> SALARY AND COMPENSATION PLANS (TABLE 1 AND TABLE 2) AS FOLLOWS: TO <br /> 4 PROVIDE FOR iNCREASES iN THE COMPENSATION FOR THOSE EMPLOYEES IN <br /> THE FIRE MANAGEMENT GROUP AND FOR THE FIRE CHIEF BY THREE PERCENT <br /> 5 (3%) AS OF JULY 7, 2000, BY THREE PERCENT (3%) AS OF JANUARY 5, 2001, BY <br /> THREE PERCENT (3%) AS OF JULY 6, 2001, AND BY FIVE PERCENT (5%) AS OF <br /> 6 JANUARY 4, 2002; AND TO ADD A 5% STEP TO THE TOP OF SALARY RANGES <br /> D76A AND D62A AS OF JULY 7, 2000 FOR WHICH EMPLOYEES IN THIS RANGE <br /> 7 WILL RECEIVE THE 5% iNCREASE ON THEIR NEXT ANNIVERSARY DATE <br /> FOLLOWING JULY 7, 2000; ALL 1N ACCORDANCE WITH THE MEMORANDUM OF <br /> 8 UNDERSTANDiNG ENTERED iNTO WITH SAID GROUP. <br /> <br /> 9 WHEREAS, representatives of Management for the City of Riverside and representatives <br /> 10 of the Riverside Fire Management Group have met on a number of occasions and have conferred <br /> 11 in good faith exchanging proposals concerning wages, hours, fringe benefits, and other terms <br /> 12 and conditions of employment represented by the Group; and <br /> 13 WHEREAS, City management representatives and representatives of Riverside Fire <br /> 14 Management have reached an understanding as to certain recommendations to be made to the <br /> 15 City Council for the City of Riverside and have agreed that the parties hereto will jointly urge <br /> 16 said Council to adopt one or more resolutions which will provide for the changes in wages, <br /> 17 hours, fringe benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment contained in these joint <br /> l 8 recommendations; <br /> 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br /> 20 California, as follows: <br /> <br /> 21 Section 1: Table 1, Section 3, of Resolution No. 19390, as amended from time to time, <br /> 22 is hereby further amended by revising for the Salary Plan for those employees in the Riverside <br /> 23 Fire Management Group and for the Fire Chief to provide for increases in the compensation for <br /> 24 the employees in said Group and Fire Chief by three percent (3%) as of July 7, 2000, by three <br /> 25 percent (3%) as of January 5,200 l, by three percent (3%) as of July 6, 2001, and by five percent <br /> 26 (5%) as of January 4, 2002. Furthermore, a 5% step shall be added to the top of the salary <br /> 27 ranges as of July 7, 2000 for which employees in this range will receive the 5% increase on their <br /> <br /> G:\LEG\WPDATALRES\01032301.
