The program is part <br />of Cal Humanities' War Comes Home Initiative and is grant funded by Cal Humanities. The program is <br />supported by the CA Center for the Book and the CA State Library. The book chosen for this program <br />is What it is Like to go to War by Karl Marlantes. The reading program begins September 2nd and runs <br />through November 20th. Community members may check out copies of the book at any Riverside <br />Public Library location. City Council will receive a presentation on the program at its meeting on <br />October 21, 2014. <br />Riverside Public Library will host the author in conversation event featuring Karl Marlantes on <br />November 20th at 6pm at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium. The event will be moderated by Mary <br />Menzel, Director of the CA Center for the Book. <br />In conjunction with the War Comes Home Initiative an online exhibition titled War Ink, will display <br />Veteran's tattoo art and tell the stories behind the art. War Ink will debut on Veteran's Day 2014 and <br />will be accessible from the Riverside Public Library website. <br />DISCUSSION AND ACTION CALENDAR <br />Item 7 Code of Ethics Annual Review <br />City Clerk Colleen Nicol was present to discuss and answer questions regarding the Code of Ethics <br />Annual Review. Trustee Evans, Runyon, Ridgway and House brought up ideas for the Ethics process <br />and all Trustees discussed different possibilities. <br />
